Job Title: Electrical Engineer – RF & Microwave

Position Summary

This is a technical leadership position that entails design of wired and wireless intrusion sensing products used in residential and commercial security systems.  Individual will actively participate in a structured product development process which encompasses technical requirements development; hardware and algorithm design, implementation and verification; production test strategy development; and launch to mass production.  This position offers the opportunity to work in a team environment with individuals and groups located worldwide.

Principal Responsibilities

• Planning and leading product development activities
• Requirements development, management and validation
• Microwave, RF, Analog and Digital circuit design and implementation
• Embedded algorithm development
• Failure mode and parametric analysis of electrical designs for robustness verification 
• Design verification testing for requirements fulfillment
• Design for Manufacturability, Testability and Cost Effectiveness; Factory introduction

Education

BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required, MSEE preferred

Job Requirements

Required:

• Technical Leadership
  • Ability to plan and lead product development and factory introduction
  • Ability to guide, train and mentor engineers and technicians
• Technical Expertise
  • 5+ years experience with RF / Microwave circuit and patch antenna design
  • Thorough understanding of RF communication fundamentals and Microwave principles
  • Experience in mathematical analysis, RF & Microwave simulation
  • Strong analog and digital circuit troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience with low power battery operated designs
  • Proven experience with digital circuit design & timing analysis
  • Thorough understanding of embedded SW design
  • Thorough understanding of product design for manufacturability, testability and cost effectiveness
• Periodic international travel

Preferred:

• Understanding of optics at infrared and visible spectrum
• Mechanical aptitude
