Position Summary: This position and its corresponding duties will evolve over time—beginning with hands-on inspection, assembly & repair functions and ultimately progressing to include systems development, training, and managerial roles within our QA department. Essentially, this position will be responsible for ensuring that every single item built (typically densely packed, mixed-technology printed circuit board assemblies) meets or exceeds industry/customer specifications and ships out with zero defects.
Responsibilities: shall include, but will not be limited to:
- Manual placement and soldering of fine-pitch surface mount and through-hole components.
- Performing component and board level rework/repairs of assembled circuit boards.
- Assembling/disassembling electromechanical devices using a wide variety of hardware and hand-tools.
- Operation of inspection/assembly equipment, to include X-ray systems, AOI, aqueous cleaning machines and more.
- Monitoring assembly personnel and providing feedback/instruction etc.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing field with direct experience in an inspection/QC role.
- Thorough understanding of IPC-A-610 /J-STD-001 acceptability standards (certifications preferred).
- Familiarity with X-ray inspection systems and pass/fail criteria.
- Familiarity with IPC 7711/7721 rework & repair standards beneficial but not required at start.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Ability to work under a microscope for long periods of time (requires fine manual dexterity and good eyesight).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship/permanent residency status.
Position details:
- Permanent (new hires will be placed on a 90-day probationary period).
- Full-time, M-F, day shift (flexible start/finish times) and overtime as needed (evenings/weekends).
